As Design Lead for the Engagement Pillar, I lead our content creation strategy from 2022-2023. This included a multi-pronged approach driven by research to reduce barriers in posting to build out our content ecosystem. We focused on reducing friction in posting, norming users on what to post, and designing easier pathways that encourage creating in the moment.
We focused on content types that deliver value unique to Nextdoor including events, marketplace listings, business recommendations, and local gems, and built a designs system for how this content appears across our core surfaces of Newsfeed, Discover, and For Sale & Free.
